An atelier by Madhu Kamath — cutter, couturier and founder. Three decades of dressing brides, editorial covers and private clients between Hyderabad and Sydney.

A house built on softness and structure.
Bridal, evening, resort and ready-to-wear — each garment cut, fitted and finished in the atelier over an average of forty hours.

Madhu Kamath — a couturier who learned by hand.
In 1995 Madhu opened a boutique for upmarket women's garments in Hyderabad — sourcing the building, drawing every silhouette, negotiating the finance and running the workshop floor herself.
Over the next three decades she mastered the trades that most couturiers hand off — cutting and fitting, tailoring, embroidery, dyeing, printing, super-processing and finishing — and built a reputation for dressing non-standard figures with the same care as the sample-size model.
Along the way she styled and shot covers for The Times of India and Deccan Chronicle, designed for television serials and film, judged Miss Andhra Pradesh and conducted half a dozen national-level fashion shows.
"Design and creativity have been an integral part of my life — this is the chapter it keeps coming home to."
